This is effective if you wish to inform them of any promotions that you are conducting or any special techniques that you feel should be known to them hence the three M’s of marketing: know, like and trust.
3. Ask for referrals
It can be confirmed that one of the most effective ways of advertising is through word of mouth. Human beings survive on social proof, so when a friend or associate vouch for you, it will go a long way in improving your business. The only thing to contemplate, nevertheless, is the fact that, though you may attempt to use the tricks given here and get all your customers to give a referral, there is no guarantee that a customer will give a referral without being asked. Some of the rewards that can be used are free or discounted products or services that customers can use as a way of getting friends to patronize your door.
4. Create social media accounts
The Pew Research Center was also able to report that a significant 72% of all Internet users have used at least one social networking site. It doesn’t always have to be in large amounts, but a few bucks will suffice and will help you gain the reputation of a caring and compassionate person.
7. Network
According to a study performed by Constant Contact of 5,000 small businesses, face-to-face communications were the most effective promotions. 3 This means building new relationships with people through a face to face interaction is of great benefit to the business. Take meetings in your company or become a member of any organization. Just have people have a glimpse of your face and they are likely to patronize your services.
